mPEG-NH₂ (aminomodified polyethylene glycol) is a polymer widely used in biomedical and materials science with an amino (-NH₂) functional group at the end of its molecular chain. The hydrophilicity and amino reactivity of polyethylene glycol make it excellent in a variety of applications.



Amino (-NH₂) functional group

Chemical properties:
An amino group is a strongly alkaline functional group capable of accepting protons (H +), giving it the ability to form an ammonia ion (NH + +) in water.
The presence of amino groups makes mPEG-NH₂ highly reactive and able to react with many chemicals, such as aldehydes, ketones, and acids.

Biocompatibility:
The amino functional group is friendly to the organism and can increase the interaction between mPEG-NH₂ and biomolecules and reduce the immune response.

Applications:
