mPEG-SS (Methoxypolyglycol succinimide succinate (ester bond)), CAS number 78274-32-5, is a polymer derivative with a special structure and function that is widely used in biomedicine, drug delivery, and materials science.




1. Physical properties

Properties: mPEG-SS is usually a solid or powder, depending on the molecular weight.

Solubility: Has good water solubility and organic solvent solubility.

Storage conditions: It is recommended to avoid light and dry storage at -20℃ to maintain its stability and activity.



2. Application field

Biocoupling: mPEG-SS can be used to modify biomolecules such as proteins, antibodies, peptides, etc. by reacting with amino groups to fix biomolecules to the surface of nanoparticles or biosensors.

Drug delivery: The reductive responsiveness of the disulfide bond enables it to release drugs in a specific cell or tumor environment, improving drug targeting and therapeutic effectiveness.

Biosensors: Can be used to build biosensors with stable chemical connections to sensor elements through their active groups.

Materials science: Can be used to prepare functional polymer materials, such as smart materials and nanomaterials.
