8-arm PEG vinylsulfone (tripentaerythritol) is synthesized through ethoxylation of tripentaerythritol. It is a multifunctional PEG reagent with 8 thiol reactive vinylsulfone groups. VS selectively reacts with free thiol, sulfhydryl or mercapto groups for site specific pegylation of peptide and proteins. 8ARM(TP)-PEG with tripentaerythritol core has a higher purity and lower polydispersity compared with the generic 8ARM-PEG with a hexaglycerin core. The total molecular weight of 8-arm PEGs is the sum of the molecular weight of all eight arms.


8-arm PEG-VS (TP) is available with molecular weight of 2K, 5K, 10K, 20K and 40K Da. Other MW may be available by custom synthesis. The packaging sizes are available for 1g, 10g and 100g. Please contact us for bulk and GMP grade PEGs pricing and packaging size.
